Teaching Leaders On Demand

Customised in-school programmes that improve student outcomes through strengthening middle leadership

Our facilitators will challenge and support your middle leaders to raise their own and their team’s performance.  Our sessions enable participants to do the following with greater impact:

  • Set direction in their area – aligned with the school’s strategy
  • Build the capacity of their teams to achieve sustained improvements
  • Challenge and address underperformance in their teams
  • Recognise skills in their team and stretch high potential colleagues through delegation
  • Embed a culture of continuous self-evaluation that leads to improvement – for them, their staff and their students
  • Manage their own manager effectively
  • Enthuse and motivate team members that are facing setbacks
  • Act as a catalyst for school improvement

Testimonials

From senior leaders:

“The Middle Leaders are now driving conversations on the progress of pupils in their department, and the interventions needed. The SLT find that the quality of conversations with Faculty Heads is so much better, because the Heads are now able to articulate what they want for their department and what needs to be done to get there."  Sally Hodgson, Assistant Principal responsible for the quality of provision, Swindon Academy

From middle leaders:

“It was useful as it made me focus on the strengths of your team and delegate responsibility accordingly. It has made me step back and appreciate / value the strengths of my team” Participant, Feltham Community College
