Teaching Leaders is a middle leadership development programme that is an ideal choice for urban London secondary schools who would like to retain and develop a high-potential staff member - and in turn deliver results for staff and students.

Benefits to your school:

Staff retention: This two year programme will ensure that you hold on to your most valuable staff.

Spreading best practice: Through their outstanding leadership of teaching and learning our participants share their new ideas throughout the school.

Urban focus: Participants are given the knowledge, tools and support to allow them to lead their teams and raise achievement within the specific challenges that this context presents.

Measurable results: By continuously tracking the progress of our participants we aim to make measurable improvements to achievement in all the schools we work with.

Teaching Leaders is ideal for those who have 0-5 years' middle leadership experience. All applicants must have a middle leadership post confirmed for 2010-11; this includes having a responsibility for the performance of at least two staff.  Here you can find out more about who we're looking for, and what we ask of our partner schools.

Next Steps:

You can nominate candidates for the programme. We will then contact the nominees to discuss the programme with them and advise them as to how to apply. As we are a selective programme, the candidate will then go through an assessment procedure with us do decide whether the programme is right for them.
