TL Fellows overview
TL Fellows is our two-year selective leadership development programme for high-potential secondary school middle leaders.
Fellows receive intensive coaching and training that stretches and supports them to lead their teams with confidence and transform pupil outcomes in their areas of responsibility. The programme is centred on an Impact Project where Fellows set and track progress towards pupil impact goals within their area of responsibility.
All training takes place outside of school hours and starts with an inspiring, developmental Residential.
“The Fellows programme exposes them to very high-quality training so they see beyond the day-to-day, they hear and meet inspirational people and listen to inspirational messages, they learn from their peers, and then they bring all those ideas back into school”
Allison Crompton, Headteacher, Middleton Technology School
The programme is designed to significantly improve pupil outcomes and close achievement gaps. We have a rigorous approach to measuring impact which has delivered some outstanding results since the programme was launched in 2008.

Schools pay a contribution of £2,000 per Fellow per year towards the cost of the programme. As training takes place outside of school hours, there are no cover costs.
